BIO

Music fan since my childhood, I took "Life Sentence" at the concert of Pink Floyd at Bercy in 1988 and illico I started learning guitar.

In 1996, I went to Los Angeles, with my guitar in hand, to wash dishes in a pizzeria for 2 months. On the plane, I was at the smoking area (yes, it really existed in airplanes!) and talked to a guy who spotted my guitar and was a student at the Musician Institute ... "If you're in troubles, you got to come home! ". So I had troubles very quickly, arrived at “home” and I registered at the Guitar Institute and Technology for 2 months. There, I had been attended all courses, funk, metal, rock, jazz (no, I am kidding!), but Jazz-Rock with Scott Henderson and I begun to build my artistic project.

Back to France to finish my business studies, I was selected as trainee at Roadrunner Records France, indie label first experience where I met, among others, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal.

There I begun composing songs with Cubase Light (Midi sequences for drums played with a keyboard), all recorded on a Yamaha MT120S ... The King of Ping-Pong and Noise!

Then I had been working for EMI MUSIC France as a salesperson for about 2 years.

In 2000, I started the indie label JAFF which signed projects like Enhancer, Bumblefoot (first Uncool album), Enola (lead singer Arman Melies) Lofofora (Double album), Cry Freedom Family, La Bestia, etc ... Difficulties internally and externally, I threw the towel in 2005, tired and disappointed obviously ...

From 2005 to 2014, I had been working as laboratory and technical manager in chemistry (Coatings) and in parallel, evenings and weekends, I wrote, recorded, produced, mixed and put on market 2 solo albums. Because when you took "Life Sentence", you won't stop so easily o ... :)

Both albums built myself as an artist first, and made concrete what was in me. I believe that the main goal for an artist is to give life to his art, no matter what !

Although both albums had production defects (but in fact, they were recorded and mixed on a Pod UX2 !!), they allowed me to create my musical universe, and thus to build me as a person. They also helped me to learn how to produce music, recording and mixing.

Then I collaborated with Xianosys band for their first album, explaining how to make an album when you don't have a cent! Recorded in their basement on a POD UX2 (the one I used for my first two solo albums), the band was able to build its project with few resources but a lot of work and involvement.

"DON'T BE OBSESSED BY BICYCLE BRAND … PEDAL! "This maxim has always been my guide, convinced we could do a lot with little means to the end ... still need to know how!

Today, I still work very simply, trying to optimize all phases in order to obtain the best possible result, as sound as artistic matters. Because the most important point is Art. No matter how it is recorded, a good song remains a good song. But it's better when well produced ... o :)

In August 2015, I participated in Mix With The Master Seminar with Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Adele, Beyonce, Zac Brown Band, Hozier, Metallica, Jake Bugg, Lana Del Rey ...)
