Les prémices d’Ego Miss Blinded remontent à 2013, Phil, chant et guitare (ex-Iceland) et Jaff, guitare, qui travaillent alors chacun sur des projets respectifs manifestent l’envie mutuelle de revenir aux fondamentaux, aux sources, au Rock.
Par la suite Shag, basse (ex-Zuul FX) et Cédrico (batterie) rejoignent le projet, ce dernier cédant rapidement la place à Keuj (ex-Watcha).
C’est ce line-up qui donne aujourd’hui au groupe les moyens de concrétiser ses projets comme il les imagine.
L'envie commune est de faire un rock efficace tout en mélangeant rock-metal-fusion et esprit 70's.
Le premier album « A view… » (juin 2015) est une expérience en soi, enregistré en 3 jours pour les prises principales.
Dès juillet, Ego Miss Blinded retourne au studio de Jaff pour enregistrer un nouvel EP. Avec un nouveau concept.
Plus rock, plus soudé, plus abouti, Ego Miss Blinded assume sa singularité et en fait sa force.
Le résultat c’est « Tipping Point ».
D’abord, il est joué sur scène avant d’être enregistré, impliquant d’une certaine manière le public dans la composition.
C’est ainsi que les titres mûrissent et sont enrichis et peaufinés de sets en sets.
Au moment d’entrer en studio, chaque musicien sait ainsi déjà exactement ce qu’il veut enregistrer.
Les parties « live » sont donc des prises directes, immédiatement fixées, sans doublage d'instrument.
Cet EP marque donc la bascule , le « Tipping Point » du groupe qui aujourd’hui est sûr de sa direction artistique et de sa légitimité.
Les textes composés par Phil sont axés sur ce sentiment que peut avoir un citoyen aujourd'hui dans nos sociétés contemporaines. « The Knife to Your Throat » et « Raise Your Head Part 1 » sont posés comme des témoignages amers et profonds.
Ego Miss Blinded surprendra certainement, à contre-courant de la facilité, il offre du rythme, beaucoup de rythme, du riff, beaucoup de riff et surtout beaucoup de variations.
Ego Miss Blinded started back in 2013 : Phil - vocals and guitar
(ex-Iceland) - and Jaff – guitar - agreed it was high time to get back to basics, to the Roots, to Rock.
Then, Shag - bass (ex-Zuul FX) - and Cédrico (drums) joined the project ; Cédrico gave up quickly and was replaced by Keuj (ex-Watcha).
This final line-up allowed them to realize their plans and find their sound.
The common desire was to play a powerful rock while mixing
rock-fusion-metal and 70's spirit.
The first album "A view ..." (June 2015) was an experience, recorded in 3 days for the principal tracks.
By July 2015, Ego Miss Blinded went back to Jaff's studio to record a new EP with a new concept.
More rock, more cohesive, more accomplished, Ego Miss Blinded now assumes its uniqueness and its strength.
The result is "Tipping Point".
First, songs are played on stage before being recorded, implying somehow the public in the songwriting.
Thus songs become mature and are enriched and refined sets by sets.
On the verge of entering in studio, each musician already knew exactly what he wanted to record.
The "live" parts are recorded direct, without doubling instrument.
This EP is the turnaround, the "Tipping Point" of the band which is now sure of his artistic direction and legitimacy.
The lyrics written by Phil are focused on the feeling of being a citizen in our contemporary societies. "The Knife to Your Throat" and "Raise Your Head Part 1" are written as a bitter and profound testimony.
Ego Miss Blinded will surprise certainly, against the current line of facility, and provides rhythm, a lot of rhythms, and riffs, lots of riffs and lots of variations.
